Oddly enough, the beginnings of this company had nothing to do with automobiles at all. It began as Kyungsung Precision Industry, and the company manufactured steel tubing and parts for bicycles. The company changed its name to Kia Industries in in 1952 and started producing motorcycles and trucks in 1957. Following a bankruptcy in 1997, the company sold 33 percent of its stake to Hyundai, making it a minority owner of the company.
Currently, they are considered to be the second largest automotive manufacturer behind Hyundai. Our team is well versed in servicing your Kia or any other model. Call our shop if you have any questions.
